Pernie Fallon, Painter
Pastel and Oil Paintings — Landscapes and Still Lifes
I love the fresh spontaneity of working with pastels to capture my immediate impressions of my subjects. My oil paintings allow me an expressive exploration of my subjects through rich colors and textures.
Pernie Fallon has been painting for 20 years. Her subjects are varied, ranging from sensuous landscapes to colorful skies and lively still lifes. She uses a brisk impressionistic style that is well-suited for pastels. Her oils are thick and luscious, emulating her pastel style.
Pernie exhibits locally at the Unique by Nature, Arts in Bloom, and Music in Motion events. At the former Laura Moore Fine Arts Studio, she had sell-out shows. Her work is in private collections across the country and at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in McKinney. Her paintings have been featured on the covers of two award-winning albums.
Also a sought-after teacher, Pernie offers monthly adult painting classes in pastel and oil at The Martin Place. She teaches AP Art at Liberty High School in Frisco.
