Eva Kustarne Zsoldos, Potter
My primary focus is creating functional art pieces from clay. I wish my pieces would be touched and used on an everyday basis. I do also paint with acrylic medium and enjoy taking photographs.
I was growing up in a small village in Hungary where we kids spent most of our free time outside. Played in the mud, built a kite from paper and reed. Creativity was our entertainment. Life brought me to Texas 16 years ago and gave me a chance to study and explore art in North Lake College.
Clay has a mesmerizing effect on me. All of my life I wanted to work with clay. My pieces are mostly functional. I hope, people will touch and use them every day, experiencing comfort and harmony. When I work with other media, I use nature as an inspiration just like with pottery, thinking about the small wonders of the Earth.
I recently moved to Prosper and soon joined The McKinney Art Studio where I find new friends, a fresh boost for creativity and a very welcoming artist community.
