A retired firefighter, Tim Bednar is also an entrepreneur and artist. After firefighting and then opening and operating a family carwash business, Tim has turned his attention to his love of art.
Tim has worked as a commercial artist and designer, exploring and creating art in the fields of drawing, painting, ceramics, pottery, stained glass, sculpture, and residential building design and construction. He has received recognition and awards for his painting and ceramics. Tim is currently focusing on pottery by teaching adults in McKinney at The McKinney Art House and Jump Into Art.
Tim has served as a board member for the Plano Public Art Commission, coached numerous youth sports teams, and served in leadership positions in firefighters associations. He has volunteered and participated in The Society of International Business Fellows Leadership Academies, the Southeast Asia Leadership Academy and for The Executives for the Extraordinary – Education for Everyone in various projects in Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia. He is a world traveler and explorer along with his wife Andrea, they are also the proud Grandparents of seven grandchildren. Tim and Andrea currently live in Fairview, TX.
