My love for pottery grows every day as I discover new and interesting surface technique that takes my work into new places. With new layering and underglaze techniques of low fire onto midfire glazes I can create bright, see‑through colors reminiscent of my visits to ancient seaside towns in Spain, France and Morocco. Working on the wheel or handbuilding keeps me focused on the here and now and does wonders for my mindfulness work.
I enjoy opening the kiln lid and seeing what magic it brings ‑ always inspiring and always humbling. This year I am working on utilitarian designs that can be mixed and matched for the eclectic home and put to use: dishwasher and oven safe too.
