I enjoy making all kinds of art, including pen-and-ink illustrations, watercolor pet portraits, logos and t-shirt designs, plus I recently completed my first mural! Working as a high school art teacher here in McKinney challenges me to be diverse in my artistic pursuits. My personal work gravitates toward landscape and skyscape paintings, though more recently I’ve been producing a series of black hole pieces inspired by the “gravitational lensing” that occurs at the edge of a black hole. This series explores the limitations of human experience and gaps in knowledge, as well as the artist’s storied relationship to the circle.
